  1. Been using foxfi w/ verizon unlimited plan since 2011. I'm assuming videos like this with over 100k views are the reason it no longer works. Thanks for the help encouraging carriers to shut us down, all for a little ad revenue. Sorry for coming off as hateful, I'm just bummed. Hopefully devs will come up with a workaround

  2. In order for PdaNet/Foxfi to work, you have to download a desktop client (free) and tether via USB or Bluetooth. Unfortunately, you do have to pay for the app- it's called PdaNet, but the key you buy to unlock unlimited tethering is called Foxfi. Anyway, it actually works flawlessly. Once tethered via USB or Bluetooth (phone to computer) you can activate the "wifi sharing" option on the computer side, which works as a true hotspot. I have an unlimited data plan and using this method, I actually connect my Roku to the hotspot and stream media- all with my mobile data. This video is misleading; however, downloading PdaNet, buying the unlock key (known as Foxfi,) downloading desktop client (free,) tethering either by USB or Bluetooth, then activating wifi share option on computer side will truly give you FREE tethering. No need to subscribe to carriers plan. I'm currently on the sprint service, I have an s7 running Nougat, and it works. I can also confirm it works with most other major carriers as well. As I said, I've used it for years with 0 issues and no extra charges from carrier. Either they aren't noticing the free tethering, or they just don't care. So, just thought I'd drop this in the comments. Obviously people landed on this video, because they're looking for a true way to activate a free wifi hotspot. So- I just told you how. You should seriously update this video with the correct method for getting this accomplished.

  3. I have FoxFi app on my Galaxy S7 phone running marshmallow (6.0). But I heard it does NOT work on nougat (7.0) that's why I still have not upgraded to the nougat OS.

  4. Foxfi does not ask for a vpn. It gives me a proxy instead. How do I get the free hotspot. My data usage keeps getting recorded on my metro app. Which vpn should I get or input the proxy it gives me

  5. I have an s7 edge with Sprint. Just download the app and it works good. Faster then my broke ass hotspot. so much faster! Thank you sir.
btw you first get it and if it doesn't connenct. it will. Just give it a bit. I have an dell laptop and it works good.
