• Karin on 12/08 Sez: Entering this coffee shop, I was immediately struck by the atmosphere. A quiet peace enveloped me and I was able to breathe in the warmth as the smell of cookies wafted through the air. As I looked around, I noticed small details such as newspapers on the table for me to read, a tape library that I could sort through and a TV in the background that I could see from almost any angle in the shop. The friendly counter person smiled and greeted me, welcoming me for my first time to SIPS. I usually judge a place by their Mocha Latte. I look for attention to detail, such as the training of the baristi, the cleanliness of the area, the quality of the ingredients. I believe that the attention to detail that it takes to make a perfect Mocha Latte will give me a clue as to how the rest of the shop operates. It was the perfect blend of sweet chocolate and a little bit of perfectly frothed milk in all its natural creamy sweetness and I knew I had a little taste of something straight from heaven. For someone who loves espresso with no additives, I am very picky about my Mocha Latte. My fluffy milk melted perfectly into the chocolate treat at the bottom and by the time I got to the bottom of my cup, it left a lasting impression that made me want to come back for a straight shot or two. I had actually come in to do some business and had no expectations as I have been to many small coffee shops in the area that do not even bother to get quality equipment, but this is not the case here. Most anyone can get a good shot or two out with a good espresso mix, but it takes skill to make a Mocha Latte sing. I was pleased to hear about the opportunity to hold meetings after hours for a nominal rate, to cater meals for receptions big or small and smoothies and sandwiches to hit the spot when I am on the run. Each item that I have ordered so far has the same attention to detail, the service is excellent and the owners care! Stop in! Stay awhile! Leave with a smile! It is on your way!
