  • Joey Trimmer on 12/26 Sez: Sugar is a husband and wife co-owned cafe with a ton of character. The interior has pink stripes with cupcake art along the walls and a really high black ceiling. Amazing pastries and treats are served all day long, they don't skimp on the sandwiches and salads for lunch and you can't go wrong with Vita coffee. Plus, free Wifi! I find it a really great change of pace from all the other bland cafe's with shaky networks (really shaky networks). I've never had the network go down at Sugar. There are two rows of tables, the tables are small but I find them just right for my tall latte, fresh from the oven blackberry scone and macbook. There is a big power strip along one side of tables so grab a seat on that side if you plan to work for a while. This cafe has a lot of class and I've already made it my base, even if I have to walk just a couple more blocks. It's about time First Hill got something this nice.
