Black Pepper Beef Stir-Fry Recipe + Dietitian Interview เนื้อผัดพริกไทยดำ | Thai Recipes

Next time you have a steak dinner, make some extra steaks and you can have this scrumptious and nutritious Thai meal in a snap later in the week. A pre-cooked steak is super versatile and can turn into many delicious dishes! This video is sponsored by thinkbeef.ca who reached out to me for a Thai meal idea that uses a cooked steak. It didn’t take me long to think of a dish for that request—this black pepper beef recipe came to mind instantly as soon as I heard “steak”!

BONUS CONTENT! In addition to the black pepper beef recipe, in this video I also got to interview a dietitian, Carol Harrison RD, to ask her some questions around the nutrition of red meat. If you want to get in touch with her, she’s on Twitter @greatmealideas, or find her at yummylunchclub.ca

  1. Allow me to repeat something I've been sarcastically telling people for years:
"What? You mean eating fresh vegetables, fruits, and meats are good for you and eating heavily processed garbage is bad?! How could this be?!?!"

For real though, when people are all fretting about "being fat" and all that and I explain to them the insane notion of "you don't need to eat magical processed weight loss things, all you need to do is eat plenty of nutritious foods and stay away from the junk food. Learning how to eat properly your whole life will be better for you" it's like I just spoke in babylonian or something. Maybe because I look fat they don't want to take my word for it? Or maybe no one wants to put in the dang effort of washing and cutting stuff; they just want to unwrap something, nuke it for three minutes, then shovel it down their gob.

  2. Meat is tasty but if you really want to get into nutrition then meat is really not healthy at all. Way high in cholesterol. Heart health and red meat do not go hand in hand. Actually everything she said is very scewed.

  3. Hi Pailin,
That is a great recipe for a quick meal. Love that mix of sauces to season the dish. It is versatile because it will work with any protein and vegetables. Definitely adding this to my quick meal recipes. Looking forward to your next video.

  4. I appreciate when you bring in a CREDENTIALLED Registered Dietitian as opposed to a "nutritionist" who may or may not know what she is talking about.

  5. Actually I prepared a beef stir fry not long ago with some vietnamese green peppers. I made the sauce with Oyster, chicken stock, light soy and a drizzle of sesame oil. Will try with the thai holy trinity of sauces next time.

  6. Hi Pai! Delicious looking dish. Can you do a video on how to cook the perfect steak? Yours looks like a perfect medium-rare… gorgeous!
