Tanigue Fish Steak ala Bistek is a Filipino dish wherein fish steak such as tanigue or kingfish is cooked the same way as bistek tagalog, which is the Pinoy version of beefsteak.

This recipe involves cooking fish in soy sauce with lemon, and a generous amount of onion are added towards the end of the cooking process.

Here are the ingredients for this recipe:

3 to 4 lbs. Tanigue (Wahoo or Kingfish)
3 medium onions, sliced into rings
1 lemon
6 tablespoons soy sauce
5 cloves garlic, crushed
2 1/2 tablespoons salt
1 teaspoon granulated white sugar
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 cup water
3/4 cups cooking oil
