Low Carb Tortillas – 2 Ingredients

Tara’s Tortillas

1 head cauliflower
2.5 – 3 cups shredded mild cheddar cheese
1 egg white

Process cauliflower in food processor to the texture of rice or grits.

Microwave cauliflower for 10 minutes, covered, stirring half way through.

Squeeze out cauliflower in cheesecloth until liquid is removed.

Add cheese, stir and microwave 1-2 minutes or until cheese is melted.

Stir in beaten egg white.

Spread on parchment in thin rounds about 8” in diameter.

Bake at 400 degrees for 12-15 minutes.

Transfer to a spoon handle or rolling pin to and allow to cool in the shape of a taco shell.

Enjoy!

  2. I'd love to get your opinion Wesley on the possibility of using the Keto Connect recipe to make larger burrito tortillas. I really miss burritos! Do you think a larger version could be stuffed, folded, and rolled into a burrito that would hold together and not become a complete mess? I usually use foil to reinforce the structural integrity of my traditional wheat flour burritos. I would do the same for a Keto Connect version, but it still needs to be a cohesive tortilla under the stress of the pressures of saucy meat, cheese, and avocado. What do you think? Would it work?

  4. Really appreciate all the hard work and effort you put into these videos. The recipes looked great! I didn't realise the difference it makes using a cast iron skillet as opposed to a non stick pan – sure explains some of the issues I've had trying to make stuff in the past!   5. when i've had issues with induction hobs, its because the pan is too small, the ferromagnetic base needs to fall between the two circles on the hob, if its to small it won't detect the pan. So you need to know how big the actual steel piece of metal is in the base (as prety much all are a steel/aluminium sandwhich) of the pans and make sure it matches the hob size.

  7. First, I LOVE this channel and am SOOO happy that you did this! I've been wanting alternative ways of enjoying tacos, so this is a lifesaver! Second, you poor man! The day you had filming this? Yeah, that's been my LIFE for a bit!!!!   9. When I melt the cheddar cheese in the oven, I usually keep the parchment paper on while bending it over to get crispy. Then I peel the parchment paper away.

  10. Another great video! Hubby is trying low carb with me now and so we are gonna try the cheese shell this Tuesday. I love simple recipe so the provolone will be my 1st to try! Thank you for sharing the recipe from Tara, I would've never thought to use cauliflower!
