Slow Cooker Taco Chicken Recipe Share – This is an easy weeknight meal that tastes wonderful! *Open*

Slow Cooker Taco Chicken
1 lb Chicken Breasts
1 Packet Taco Seasoning
1 Packet Ranch Dressing Mix (optional)
1 Jar Salsa
Chicken Broth or Water (if you need more juice)

Optional – Canned Black or Pinto Beans

Combine all ingredients into your slow cooker. My chicken was frozen, so I cooked it on low for 8 hours.

Before serving, shred the chicken in the slow cooker.

Serve with your favorite taco sides – taco shells, tortillas or over a salad.

I served this with a Cheesy Bean and Rice Bake

  3. Hi Shelly, I do something similar with my crock pot taco chicken. One change I've made is when it's shredded and ready to serve, I saute a large onion in oil and then pour the shredded chicken into a large skillet. I cook the sauce down to concentrate the flavor. In the end you end up with a super flavorful and not as watery meal. We don't have the soggy, drippy taco shells anymore. TFS

  4. This does look good. Have you tried this with thawed chicken? I would think that some of that excess juice is due to the water in the frozen chicken.

  5. First, can you be any more frikken' gorgeous?! We had a girls only (no men allowed!) weekend at my father's cabin in Lake Tahoe. We fired up the crock pot early in the morning, went shopping and sight seeing for the day, came back and started the rice and bean casserole, and the five of us feasted like hungry wolves! And with the addition of consuming way too much wine, we had one of the best nights of eating and sharing our lives with each other. And we owe it all to you! You have a subscriber for life, Ms. Shelly!
