Free wi-fi, though you need to ask the wait staff for the password. They will give it to you freely. Great food, awesome coffee drinks. Antique furniture, fire place. Very cozy and nice. A great place to study, as it is very quiet.
nice little hipster joint. never too loud, never too crowded, this place plays host to people stopping in for lunch and students with laptops settling in for a long afternoon. Comes complete with extensive newspaper options and a photobooth.
Great atmosphere! Wonderful hangout for the neighborhood. Outdoor seating area with big umbrellas to shade the sun, and also a connected bagel shop with regular bagels and steamed bagel sandwiches.

Decent speed, perfect to do a quick email or web browse or...

I believe it's either $1.50 or $2.50 an hour. Often crowded. I'd recommend, for internet, either going south a few doors to Marshall McGearty's. But the atmosphere at Filter can be fun sometimes.
The internet seems to be very dodgy. It's not slow, just intermittent.

Sit in the lobby outside the Starbucks and connect to the SEARSTOWER network. You'll have to put your bag through the x-ray machine, but the wireless is free.
Good seating downstairs and upstairs in the quiet reading room. Outlets are in the floor below the tables. You don't need a library card to access the network.
