  • Milan Hanacek on 05/21 Sez: 05/21/2010 OMG, I read the review from Katherine from 04/07-unbelievable, especially since I have been pretty mucha regular customer, most days mornings and afternoons, and never have I had so much as a tiny bit of any problem there, bathroom included. It is actually one of the cleaner bathrooms I've seen. The staff, owners included, have been nice, courteous and professional, the coffee and food I have been buying has been good, too. Even the customers, many regulars, are nice and by all indications good people. This is a nice cafe, don't shy away from it, find out for yourself. Milan
  • Katherine on 04/07 Sez: Nasty! Went in this aftn, ordered a mocha and while it was being made, went to restroom... while in restroom, toilet began to overflow while I was sitting on seat... other people's elimination came up on me... (I'm taking a very long shower!!!) anyway when I cleaned up as best possible went to girl at counter to get my coffee... informed her of the problem w/her facilities; though she informed me she would get right to it -- I was looked at in an annoying way for even bringing it up! Well, geeze -- sorry, but I am the one that should be annoyed... no apology was offered. I still tipped her and I am a good tipper as I waited on tables through college. Then: (worse even!!!) -- as my friend and I were leaving (we sat outside), I put my thermos (with the coffee I had made at home that a.m.) in my own backpack -- I had left it at the table w/my friend when I went in to get coffee... The owner (an oriental gentleman) came up to me and accused me of taking [MY] THERMOS from his establishment and went as far as to put his hands on me and physically pulled the thermos out of my backpack! He said it was his "creamer" -- I informed him that it was mine and attempted to take my property back -- he wrestled it away from me again -- then I just said: why don't you open it and pour out what is in it to see that it is my coffee, not your condiment. He continued to be hostile -- my friend stepped in to tell him to leave me alone -- he continued to argue w/my friend; I finally got my thermos back -- opened it and showed him that it was in fact COLD COFFEE ... the thermos I bring to work every day! He verbally abused my friend and questioned, "are you a tough guy?!" yelling at us... Only when I told him where I worked, and that he technically assaulted me and I should have him arrested, did he back down. He went in his store -- maybe the girl told him he was mistaken -- I don't know , but he finally came out and said, "if you didn't steal it then I am sorry." NICE PLACE! I won't be back...
